It Has Been Confirmed A Boy Again!

So this past Thursday, I had another sonogram because my son was so stubborn the first time around and wouldn’t move so the doctor could properly check him out.

With that said we got to see him again and boy is it a boy (as you can tell by the pics). My mom went with me and it was a very special moment for the both of us, believe it or not even Mya enjoyed meeting her cousin, although I am sure she won’t remember it.

As the technician was doing the sonogram our son proceeded to move around like crazy (must of liked the rice and beans I gave him for lunch) and kick her where she was trying to see. If that wasn’t bad enough he decided to also kick the doctor when she was trying to listen to his heartbeat. Boy will we have our hands full with this one!

Baby and mommy are doing very well, he is 1lb 7oz and currently with a heartbeat of 149. Right on Track.

So in the last month since my last posting we have also done a few other things to get ready for this sweet but stubborn bundle of joy! We have gotten the house just about the way we need it to be, Carpet’s cleaned, rooms rearranged and baby’s room is already empty and ready for his furniture and stuff. We decided to make the dining room the office since we never use it for anything else. And yesterday Robert & I did our baby registries. And let me tell you it was a long day, we were both pretty exhausted when we were done and had to deal with torrential rains while we were out.

But now with most of the important stuff done, I guess it is time to just sit back and enjoy the last few months I have. I just can’t wait till it gets warm enough for me to jump into a pool, I know that it will feel so good to just swim and be weightless.

Hope everyone enjoys the pictures I have posted and will post again after my next appointment with is on May 28th.

Love,
Robert, Cathy, Baby V & Gizmo

It's A Boy!

Well it is official, Robert needs to get his coach hat ready. Today we were blessed to not only find out our baby was healthy but he is a boy! But finding this out didn't come so easily, you see even now our child is stubborn (hmm wonder where he gets it from). It not only took two sonograms but some poking by the technician.
You see our child at the time was laying breach and is legs were firmly crossed. But I beleive just so that the technician would stop poking at him and trying to get him to move, he flashed us, just enough to see his little manhood.

Today he weighed 11oz and is 11.8 cm long. Heartbeat is strong and to us he looks awfully cute, even in my tummy.

I really beleive that today I finally saw Robert truly excited and that brought so much joy to my heart, his son!

Now as for a name, we have no idea so we will leave it at ratboy3 (if you don't know the joke, just ask us sometime) until we can agree on something.

I think things happen for a reason and today, on the eve of our 5th Anniversary, we couldn't have recieved a better gift.

Thank you to for all the love, support and well wishes. We truly appreciate it and look forward to a world of blue and sports!

2nd Doctors Visit

Well I know that my 2nd doctor's visit was a week ago today but since then I have been pretty sick. I think I had a combo of the flu and a really bad head cold and as you may know when you have a little peanut there really isn't much you can take.
So I went to the doctor's and think I talked to everyone there about one thing or another. But the most exciting part was hearing my baby's heart beat for the first time, it was awesome to say the least. Amazing to hear and it really made things even more real for me. And let me tell you we have a very strong beating kid!
So all my tests came back normal and all looks well as we move on and wait for the next appt. Until then, not much more to report. Getting closer!

Our First Doctor Visit

So we had our first doctor visit this afternoon and I am so proud of Robert for making it through it without getting completely grossed out!

But back to the subject at hand, the baby is good. Officially I am 6 weeks and 3 days, so the doctor's estimated due date is Aug. 30. They did an ultrasound and we saw our little peanut (well a fuzzy looking thing) for the first time. Heart beat was good and all the insides look fine as well. Funny, I called it our peanut and the nurse said well it is more like a rice crispie, so your call on what you want to call it.

As you can see I posted our first picture and I am sure there will be many more to come. Hope you guys like this blog idea and check in often to see how our family is changing!
